Today’s photo was captured a couple of days ago when Vancouver pretended it was summer for a day. I went to Beau Photo and chatted with Jason. He is always very helpful and a good source.

Before I left the shop with a rental Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S, he showed me the new Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 II and the new XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR. The 500mm was very cool and lightweight, at a mere 2.93 lb or 1.33 kg, and the new XF 16-55mm is less bulky and lighter as well. I added both to my list of lenses I would like to review in 2025.

I spent the day testing the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S, and a highlight was walking along Jericho Beach just before the sun dipped down behind the trees.
