After being in Barcelona for five days and on the road for another week, returning to our friends Dominique and Cathrine's in Aulnay-sous-Bois felt like coming home. Hello friends, hello french baguette and cheese :)
Emma is Off to Canada
Unfortunately, we were also nearing the end of Emma's visit with us in Europe. Emma's flight back to Canada was on April 28th and we were on a flight later the same day to Copenhagen. Having Emma with us for three weeks was very special.
We experienced so much together, enjoyed each others’ company, savored croissants, sipped wine, savored wine, drank wine, chatted, ordered fancy coffees, laughed, and finally cried and hugged when she left. Our next flight will take us to Vancouver for the summer to spend more quality time with Emma and Mik.
One More Trip to Paris
We made the most of our last couple of days in Paris. The highlight was a guided tour of Paris by Dominique and Cathrine. The secret alleyways, local shops, and sights you would normally miss out on as a mainstream tourist. On our last night, Dominique held a cooking class for us culminating in a dining experience we won't soon forget.
Thanks again to Do, Cat, Clara, and Chloe for spending time with us and welcoming us as part of the family for a while. We look forward to seeing you again, hopefully before too long.
