Snow Day in Vancouver
Stanley Park Winter Wonderland
In Vancouver, we may get away with one or two real snow days a year. As we live right by the water on English Bay we see less snow than in other lower mainland regions.
On a late December day, I dug out my old snow boots and went for a walk in Stanley Park. When we lived in the Okanagan Valley, for 22 years, I would normally use these boots almost daily during the winter month when we would have snow on the ground for 4-5 months a year.
Other than getting some fresh air and enjoying the spectacular scenery, the photographic objective for my snow day walk in Stanley Park was to create sample images for my Fujifilm GFX 50S II review but I slung my X-Pro3 over the other shoulder and came home with these images which I did not get a chance to share on the blog.
I was happily surprised with the X-Pro3 photos in the snow and give much credit to my new XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR which I have used extensively now for a couple of months now and highly recommend.
I have used the Acros film simulation for the black and white photos in today’s post.
The photos in this post are made using the following photography gear.
